WhatsApp text status update is now back like old times. After getting so much backlash from its users when it rolled out the picture and video status update some couple of weeks ago, the instant messaging app has now rolled out a new update which brings back the old text status feature.
Although the IM app still retains its new video and picture updates which disappears after 24hrs users will able to once more use the old text status updates. The update which is only available for Android now on Playstore will be coming to IOS later. After updating to the latest version, users will see his/her last update posted on his/her own profile. Older options like ‘Available, Busy, At school, Can’t talk, WhatsApp only’ are still available as well.
How to Use WhatsApp Text Status Update
- Go to your Android Playstore and update your WhatsApp application.
- Open your updated app and navigate to settings.
- Click on your profile name or photo.
- Under the About and phone number section you see your last status update. Tap on it to type or choose a new status update.
