Netflix Confirms a third The Witcher Season

The Witcher second season does not premiere on Netflix until the 17th of December 2021, but the streaming giant has now confirmed there will be a third season. Netflix confirmed the news at its Tudum event and made a teaser announcement on Twitter. Netflix also said it will be making a second anime feature film and a new “Kids and Family series set in the world of The Witcher.”

Alongside the major announcement, Netflix also shared new trailers in anticipation of The Witcher second season and a new behind-the-scenes clip of the upcoming The Witcher: Blood Origin which will detail the events that happened thousands of years before Geralt of Rivia. As it continues to expand its Witcher content, Netflix also debuted an anime spinoff in August titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game developed by CD Projekt Red based on the novel is coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X and the PC, it has also been confirmed the hit game will be getting a free DLC inspired by the Netflix show.
