iPhone XR, XS & iPhone XS Max Tips and Tricks
Simultaneously press and hold the Side button and either of the Volume up or Down button, whilst still holding, slide on the screen to power off.
Power On iPhone XR, XS & iPhone XS Max
Tap and hold the Side button when iPhone is off to Power on.
Lock or Wake
Press and release the Side button.
Activate Siri on iPhone XR, XS & iPhone XS Max
Long-press Side button

As useful as alarms are, they could still be very annoying. There are times you set alarms for a particular time and you still do not want to wake, what do you do? You snooze when this happens. Press and release the Side button. Pressing the Volume Up and Down buttons also work for this.
While Android user has the Google Assistant, iPhone users have Siri. To use Siri, Long-Press the side button to activate.
Disable Face ID
When the phone is on the lock screen, tap the Side button, then either of the Volume Up or Down buttons.
There are times your iPhone get froze and won’t respond to touches, you need to Force Restart in cases like this. Press the Volume Up button then quickly press the Volume Down button, long-press the Side button afterwards.
Start Emergency SOS
With the IOS 11, Apple introduced a new emergency featured called Emergency SOS, with this you can easily contact 911 when in danger. Press and release the side button in quick succession five times.
Start Emergency SOS Countdown
If you are worried you could set off the Emergency SOS feature by mistakenly in your pocket or someway, this is for you. With Countdown, a “Countdown Sound” plays automatically when Emergency SOS is activated. Simultaneously press and hold Side button and Volume Down or Up buttons, you can also press all three same time. Keep holding all buttons once you see “slide to power off” on your screen.
You need to have Accessibility shortcut, Magnifier, Guided Access, or Assistive Touch enabled. Tap on Side button three times in quick succession.
Buy Apps with Face ID
When in App store, Hit “Get” on the new app you want to purchase, double-tap Side button to start Face ID scanning.
Enter Recovery mode in iTunes
Connect your iPhone to your Mac or Windows PC and launch iTunes. Tap on Volume Up, Volume down then long-press Side button until iTunes logo is shown on your iPhone’s screen.
