After fixing the problem with tweets disappearing mid-read on the web a week ago, Twitter has now rolled out the update to its iOS app with Android expected to follow soon. Before the update, it was a frustrating experience for users who came back to the timeline to see a tweet or thread they were reading suddenly disappear as the timeline auto-refreshed.

“We’ve made some updates on iOS to prevent Tweets from disappearing mid-read,” the social media platform announced in a tweet. “Now when you pause your timeline scrolling to look at a Tweet, it should stay put!”

Twitter has been rolling out important changes to its platform in the past few weeks. The company enabled Instagram preview cards, added a search button to profiles and recently made it possible for hosts to record and share Spaces audio.
