The world’s first rear quadruple camera smart-phone — Samsung Galaxy A9 — launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a few days ago. As expected in the unveiling of such a high-end phone, what stole the show were the 4 separate cameras, which the device packs on the rear alone. The Galaxy A9 is an upgrade on the recently released Galaxy A7 (2018), featuring a triple rear camera spec. While the Suwon, South Korea-based tech giant, Samsung, has not given any information on the price of this smartphone, it has stated the phone will be released in select markets around November.

The smartphone sports 6.3” inch full HD+ screen display and resolution of 2220 by 1080 pixels. It features 4 rear camera lenses, with the first and second being a 24-megapixel AF primary sensor with f/1.7 and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom & f/2.4. The other 2 are an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide 1200 lens & f/2.4 as well as a 5-megapixel sensor for maintaining depth effect. The front camera has a 24MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is designed with a 3D glass curved body, along with a fingerprint sensor, mounted at the rear. The Galaxy A9 has a 3,800mAh battery with Fast Charge functionality. It is powered by an octa-core processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, with a maximum clock speed, 2.2 Gigahertz, which works in conjunction with 6GB/8GB RAM. The 2 variants support external storage of 128GB, expandable to as much as 512GB with a microSD card. This device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and supports dual (nano) SIM.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Price
It has been reported that the starting price of Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be €599 (approx. ₦251,000) and £549 (around ₦263,000). But Samsung has not yet stated the exact price of Galaxy A9 [2018]. It is a super mid-range device, targeted at photography lovers who can’t afford Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
