At its Unpacked event on Wednesday, Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 series. The devices heavily pack AI features but keep the exact pricing as last year’s Galaxy S24 series. Pricing starts at $799 for the base Galaxy S25 (128GB), $999 for the Galaxy S25+ (256GB), and $1,299 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra (256GB). Pre-orders are underway, and the devices will be available from February 7th.
Samsung has tweaked the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which now features rounded corners. The phone is lighter at 218g and has a more prominent 6.9-inch display. It maintains the same 5,000mAh battery as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In terms of the camera, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP camera with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera remains unchanged at 12MP.
The Galaxy S25 series has 12GB of RAM and three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a custom version of Snapdragon’s 2025 flagship.
The Galaxy S25 and S25+ feature 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. The backs of the devices feature a 50MP primary shooter, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The battery capacities are the same as last year: 4,000mAh on the Galaxy S25 and 4,900mAh on the S25+.
The big talking point in terms of software is AI. Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI 7 will ship with all three devices. The company is also promising seven years of OS and security updates. The Galaxy S25 series features AI-powered enhancements from Google’s Gemini. Google services are improved on the S25 series, while Samsung apps also feature robust AI improvements.
The Galaxy S25 and S25+ will launch in Navy, Icy Blue, Mint, and Silver Shadow, with black, Coral Red, and Pink Gold available on Samsung.com. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Whitesilver, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Black colours, with Titanium Pinkgold, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Jadegreen colours also available through Samsung.com.
