Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy range of devices, the Galaxy A52, A52 5G and the A72. The smartphones boast features of some high-end devices for the relatively affordable prices they go for.
The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G boast a 6.5” FHD+ Infinity-O display and a 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates respectively. The smartphones ship with Android 11 based on Samsung’s One UI 3.0. They are available in 4, 6, or 8GB RAM option and storage variants are offered in both 128GB and 25GB. The A52 is powered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset while the A52 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 750G.
In terms of camera, the A52 and the A52 5G feature quad rear cameras headlined by a 64MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. Both smartphones come packed with powerful 4,500mAh batteries.
The Galaxy A72 has a bigger 6.7” FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes in 6 or 8GB RAM options and storage variants of 128GB or 256GB which can be expanded up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. The smartphone also ships with Android 11 based on the One UI 3.0 and it is powered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset.
The A72 has a quad rear camera with a 64MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and an 8MP 3x optical zoom lens. All three smartphones feature a 32MP selfie camera housed in the front punch-hole. The A72 has a bigger 5,000mAh battery.
All three devices feature in-display fingerprint scanners, IP-67 water and dust resistance but there is no 3.5mm audio jack. The devices are guaranteed to receive three generations of Android OS updates and at least four years of security updates.
Pricing for the A52 starts at €349 (about $415), €429 for the A52 5G (about $510), and €449 for the A72 ($534). All three devices will be available in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Blue and Awesome Violet colours.
