‘Freedom always comes at a price…,’ is the tagline for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion trailer shared today by CD Projekt Red at Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase. The expansion launches on September 26th and is now available for pre-order for $29.99 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.

CDPR announced the expansion last September and introduced Idris Elba as Solomon Reed in a teaser trailer released in December. Despite its chaotic lunch, Cyberpunk 2077 recovered and has sold over 20 million copies as of September 2022.

In the new trailer released on Sunday, players will experience the expansion in a new location in Night City called Dogtown. Players return as cyber-enhanced mercenary V on a mission to rescue the president of the New United States of America (NUSA). The trailer gives a new look at Elba, who plays Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the NUSA. Keanu Reeves is also back and reprises his role as Johnny Silverhand.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will not be coming to last-gen consoles, a good move from CDPR, considering Cyberpunk 2077’s release on last-gen consoles was disastrous.
