Polish gaming studio CD Projekt Red is working on a new Phantom Liberty DLC coming to Cyberpunk 2077 in 2023. The DLC would be available on the Playstation 5, Xbox Series S / X, PC, and Stadia, but not on last-gen consoles.
In a teaser trailer announcing the DLC, protagonist V swears an oath of allegiance to serve the New United States of America. Keanu Reeves, who reprises his role as Johnny Silverhand in the game appears to be warning V that taking the oath is a “bad idea.”
Cyberpunk 2077 was released nearly two years in what was a disastrous launch. The game was riddled with bugs and could barely run on last-gen consoles before the studio rolled out a series of patches to fix the bugs.
A new anime Edgerunners spinoff of the game will debut on Netflix on September 13th after it was first announced in 2020, even before the game’s release. In preparation for the anime launch on Netflix, CD Projekt Red released an Edgerunners update to Cyberpunk 2077 today.
