Naughty Dog’s Uncharted games are some of the best games the PlayStation has ever seen. Due to its popularity, the game is being adapted into a movie and Tom. Holland shared a picture today officially confirming himself as Nathan Drake, the game’s protagonist. It’s been more than 12 years since the movie has been touted and it looks like it is finally coming to life.
Tom Holland, well known for playing Marvel’s Spider-Man character shared a photo wearing Nathan Drake’s costume, a Henley t-shirt with pistol holsters and a cargo trouser. According to reports, Holland will be playing a young Nathan Drake in what will be a prequel in the Uncharted games.
Nolan North, who has played the voice actor as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted games shared a post on Twitter giving a seal of approval to Tom Holland. He shared pictures from the set and also with Holland confirming the movie is indeed actually happening. According to The Verge, the movie has had five different release dates, series of scripts and actors and has gone through seven directors. It is currently being directed by Ruben Fleischer.
Nathan Drake in the Uncharted games is an all-action adventure treasure hunter. Drake is fearless and performs dangerous action jaw-dropping fight scenes, it remains to be seen how the movie will be adapted.
The Uncharted Movie is reportedly set for a July 16, 2020 release date from Sony barring any unforeseen circumstances or delays. Popular Hollywood stars such as Antonio Banderas, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Taylor Ali and Tati Gabrielle will be joining Holland on set.
