The designs are similar with both featuring a polycarbonate body. The punch-hole which houses the selfie camera is positioned at the top-left corner on the display of both devices.

Both companies are not ready to adopt Android 10 yet with the devices still running Android 9. Although, it is more likely the Infinix S5 will receive this update in the future with the last TECNO phone to receive any update of sort being the old Phantom 6 Plus.
In terms of chip, they both powered with a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. For African market, the Camon 12 Air comes with 3GB/32GB memory while it comes with 4GB/64GB in the Indian market.
On the other hand, the Infinix S5 comes with a 4GB/64GB memory. It is not clear yet if there will be another variant.
Both smartphones have a 4000mAh battery capacity and a micro USB port. They even out.

The TECNO Camon 12 Air retails for N42,500 in Nigeria while the Infinix S5 should sell for 53,000.

Looking at the memory and camera for both phones, the Infinix S5 edges this. You should also know it costs way more than the Camon 12 Air, albeit by a significant N10,500. If your budget is what the Camon 12 Air can afford, you will still be getting a good value for your money.
