Sony’s next PlayStation Showcase takes place next Wednesday, May 24th, and it is expected to be a major one featuring upcoming games from its first-party studios. The event will be broadcasted live at 1PM Pacific Time / 9PM British Time on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.

The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world,” Sid Shuman, Senior Director of Content Communications at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), shared in a PlayStation blog post. “Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”

Some blockbuster titles already announced coming to the PS5 include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. Hideo Kojima also revealed the first trailer for Death Stranding 2 at the 2022 Game Awards, so it will not be a surprise to see these upcoming blockbusters at the PlayStation Showcase next Wednesday. Sony’s announcement also includes the mention of a new “IP”, which means PlayStation fans are in for a major treat.

With E3 2023 cancelled, publishers like Sony and Microsoft will be holding their own special events, while Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest returns as an in-person event on June 8th.
