WhatsApp is adding a useful feature that a lot of users will be happy with. On Tuesday, the Meta-owned messaging app announced it has added the ability to let users preview voice messages before sending them.
The new feature is available across all WhatsApp platforms which include the web, desktop, iOS and Android. To preview a voice message on WhatsApp, record your voice message then tap on the stop button once you are done recording. Tap on the play triangular icon to listen to the preview before sending it. If you do not like what you have recorded, you can delete and record again to send a better one.
Earlier in the year, WhatsApp added speed control options for voice messages letting users listen to audio playbacks 1.5x faster or 2.5x faster. WABetaInfo also reports WhatsApp will soon let users pause and continue recording voice messages. The company plans to make voice messages even better on the platform by enabling transcription, the feature is still in development according to TheVerge.
The Meta-owned messaging app has been rolling out a flurry of updates recently including the ability to make new chats disappear by default.
