Remember the Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi which sold more than expected units and became one of the company’s bestseller? Well, the POCO brand went independent this year and has now launched its second smartphone, the Poco X2.

The Poco X2 is not the second iteration of the Pocophone F1 but a new phone from the POCO brand. The smartphone ships Android 10 out of the box based on MIUI 11. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset and comes in three memory variants – 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.

During its teaser, POCO claimed it will have an extreme refresh rate, the device comes with a 6.67 inch with an aspect ratio of 20:9 RealityFlow display of FullHD+ resolution. As expected, the screen is indeed very fast with a 120GHz refresh rate and it supports HDR 10. The display is almost all glass but it has a capsule-pill shaped hole which houses the dual selfie camera (20MP+2MP).

Its fingerprint sensor is mounted at the side and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack with liquid technology which dissipates heat 300% faster according to POCO. Poco X2 has a 4,500mAh battery which is powered up through its USB-C port up to 2W. All in all, the Poco X2 shares similar specifications and design with the Redmi K30.

The smartphone is available in three colours – Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Phoenix Red. Some other noteworthy features are an IR Blaster, P2i water-repelling coating, VoWiFi and Hi-Res sound.

The device will go on sale in India through Flipkart from February 11. The 6GB/64GB variant which is the base model is priced at $225, with an additional $15 you can get the next variant with 128GB storage. For the top-end one with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, you will part with a decent $280. Those who purchase any variant through Flipkart with their ICICI Bank credit/debit cards will be waived $15 off.
