Voice messaging is not going away anytime soon and digital analysts have even projected voice search and automation will soon be a normal day to day thing. Instagram recently added video messages in DMs and users will soon be able to send voice messages on LinkedIn as announced in a blog post by the employment oriented platform.
The feature is rolling out on LinkedIn’s Ios and Android app, and users will still be able to receive voice messages on the platform’s website. LinkedIn says it is adding the feature to make people express themselves better, easily send messages on the go and for the convenience of letting people drop messages for recipients at any time.
How to Record and send voice Messages on LinkedIn
- In the Messages tab, select the person you want to send messages to.
- Tap on the microphone icon in the mobile messaging keyboard, tap again and hold down on the microphone icon to record your voice note.
- Release your finger when you are done talking to send.
- If you change your mind and want to cancel voice notes, simply slide our finger away from the microphone icon while holding it down.
Bear in mind, you can only send voice messages on LinkedIn up to one minute. To send for more minutes, you will need to send another voice message after you’ve exhausted the first minute.
