HBO gave a glimpse of what viewers can expect to see in the upcoming The Last of Us TV show in a trailer published on YouTube. The video was released on YouTube before the premiere of Games of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, including previews from The Idol, Love and Death, Succession, The White Lotus, And Just Like That, Hacks, The White House Plumbers, and Our Flag Means Death, before the final 20 seconds was dedicated to a first look at The Last of Us.
HBO’s The Last of Us is a live-action adaptation of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us PlayStation video game. The series will premiere in 2023, with the first season expected to have 10 episodes.
In the short trailer, we see an exchange between Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie), which is the same as it is out of the video game. The trailer also showed a scene where Joel was trying to save his daughter, Sarah and a look at Nick Offerman, who plays Bill.
Naughty Dog’s co-president Neil Druckmann, the writer and creative director of the original game, tweeted, “You ain’t seen nothing yet,” in reaction to the trailer. Druckmann is also an executive producer of the upcoming series alongside Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin.
