Cyberpunk 2077 is a hit despite the troubled launch. In a disclosure spotted by analyst Daniel Ahmad, Polish studio CD Projekt Red revealed the embattled game has sold over 13 million copies as of December 20th.

The sales figure factors in every platform, including retail and digital sales as well as returns from brick-and-mortar and digital storefronts. On launch day, the Polish gaming studio had previously revealed it had recorded 8 million pre-order copies of which 74% were digital sales.

CD Projekt Red, however, did not state exactly the number of refunds it had processed, a figure which may be significant considering Sony, Microsoft and retailers such as BestBuy and Gamestop have all announced refunds process for Cyberpunk 2077. Sony had to pull the game from its PlayStation Network after the game was plagued by glitches and bugs on last-gen consoles.

With more than 13 million copies sold, this figure amounts to about half of the 12-month sales forecast analysts projected according to Bloomberg. This figure also puts Cyberpunk 2077 in good company in terms of commercial success. Approximately $780 million revenue has been recorded within 10 days of the game’s availability, Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games made $725 million within its first weekend of availability while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare raked in $600 million within three days.

It is expected the game will perform even better commercially when all bugs have been fixed and it is restored back to the PlayStation Network.
