If you think the white-and-black colour of the PlayStation 5’s default DualSense controller is boring and you are yet to customize, Sony has just announced two new colours. Releasing next month, players will be able to get the DualSense controller in Midnight Black and Cosmic Red colours.
The midnight black colour is more in line with Sony’s older colour scheme for older controllers, particularly the DualShock 3 and the DualShock 4. The predominant white colour of the DualSense was a major shift in branding for Sony when the controller was unveiled for the PlayStation 5.
According to the PlayStation blog, the black colour will be available in “two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing.” The cosmic red colour is bright and offers a vivid red design with matching button details for those who love bright colours.
Both controllers are currently available for pre-order on the official PlayStation store and retail websites. The midnight black will set you back by $69.99 while the cosmic red colour retails for $74.99.
The PS5 remains difficult to get and Sony has warned it will last into 2022. With demand outweighing supply, only those with the console have a reason to purchase the new DualSense controllers.
