Yesterday, Sony announced the launch title games coming with the PlayStation 5 and also their prices. In the blog post, Sony Interactive Chief, Jim Ryan confirmed this stating “our own Worldwide Studios titles will be priced from US$49.99 to US$69.99 (RRP) on PS5.”
Demon’s Souls and Destruction All Stars will each cost $69.99 while the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will cost $69.99 as well. Other launch titles include Astro’s Playroom which comes pre-installed for free with the PS5, Spider-Man: Miles Morales Standard Edition for $49.99 and Sackboy A Big Adventure for $59.99.
Take-Two Interactive had earlier given a hint about the pricing of next-gen console games when it announced the NBA 2K21 will cost $70 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. When contacted by Kotaku, a PR spokesperson said; “We believe our suggested retail price for NBA 2K21 on next-generation platforms fairly represents the value of what’s being offered: power, speed and technology that is only possible on new hardware.”
