Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to the PS4 and PS5, Sony has announced. The game will launch alongside the PS5 on November 12th and Sony yesterday debuted a new 7-minute video of gameplay action.
The gameplay demo begins with protagonist Miles Morales taking walk through East Harlem, NY with his best friend, Gank Lee. As usual, a fight and chaos begin soon and Morales has to come to the rescue of the people in his beloved neighbourhood. The gameplay is reminiscent of that of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 but the PS5 hardware capabilities will certainly deliver a better experience.
“We are taking advantage of the next-generation in many more ways as well for the PS5,” explains James Stevenson, Community Director at Insomniac Games. “From the silky smooth targeted 60fps frame rate Performance Mode, to feeling the bio-electric venom energy course through your fingertips via the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller, to hearing Marvel’s New York surround you in lush 3D audio*, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be a showpiece for the PlayStation 5.”
The standard edition will launch both on the PS4 and the PS5 and it will cost $49.99. Those who buy on the PS4 will be entitled to a next-gen upgrade when they transition to the PS5. Sony is making the Ultimate Edition available on the PS5 and it will cost $69.99. It includes a voucher code to get the Remastered version of the first Marvel’s Spider-Man which has now been enhanced to take advantage of the PS5’s console engine, and The City That Never Sleeps DLC so buyers can have the complete storyline on the PS5.
