Galaxy M12 is the latest smartphone to be unveiled by Samsung, the device is similar to the Galaxy A12 but stands out on its own. The new device features a massive 6,000mAh battery but has the same 15W fast charging support over USB-C just like the Galaxy A12.
The Galaxy M12 has an Infinity-V 6.5” LCD panel with a 720p+ resolution. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and there is a waterdrop notch at the top which houses the 8MP selfie camera. At the back, there is a quad-camera setup which features a 48MP main shooter, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.
The is no word on the exact chipset that powers the smartphone but it has a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. Unofficial sources point out the Exynos 850, 8x Cortex-A55 and a Mali-G52 MP1 GPU. The phone is available in 3/4/6GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB storage variants. Its storage cane be further expandable up to 1TB via the microSD card slot.
In terms of connectivity, it offers dual SIM 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Beideou and Galileo positioning. It has a side mounted fingerprint reader on the power button and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Galaxy M12 is available on Samsung’s Vietnamese store in Blue, Black and Jade colours. There is no word yet as to its availability for other markets.
