Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Announced with 90Hz Displays and 64MP Cameras

Realme 6

Oppo sub-brand Realme has announced its new devices set of midrange smartphones – the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, five months only after the Realme 5 came out. The new devices come with 90Hz displays and feature 64MP rear cameras.

Realme 6

Realme 6 runs on Android 10 based on the Realme UI. The phone comes with a 6.5” IPS LCD display and Full HD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features a punch-hole cutout which houses the 16MP selfie camera. The camera has an f/2.0 aperture and a 1/3.1 sensor which gives a creamy blurry background.

Realme 6

Realme 6 is powered by MediaTek’s G90T gaming chipset. The chipset is built on 12nm process with a 2.05GHz octa-core CPU. It has two Cortex A76 and another six 2GHz Cortex A55. For graphics, it has a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It is available in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAMs.

At the back is a quad-camera setup which is made up of a 64MP main shooter with Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor, an 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor lens for enhancing portraits.

The device has a dual nano SIM slots and it is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with 30W charging. It is available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The 4GB/6GB variant goes for $177, 6GB/128GB goes for $204 while the 8GB/128GB goes for $218.

Realme 6 Pro

Realme 6 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset. It is built on the 8nm process with 2.3GHz octa-core Kryo 465 CPU, an Adreno 618 GPU and either 6GB or 8GB RAM.

Realme 6 pro

It has a bigger display than the Realme 6 coming at 6.6”, it has the same resolution. And 90Hz refresh rate. It features a 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX471 module and an 8MP ultrawide snapper with 105-degree field of view as its selfie cameras.

At the back is a quad-camera setup which is made up of a 64MP main shooter, a 12MP f/2.5 telephoto lens, 8MP ultrawide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The camera comes with UIS and UIS Max Video Stabilization support.

It runs o Android 10 and maintains the same battery capacity with the Realme 6.  The 6GB/64GB version goes for $234, the 6GB/128GB version goes for $245 while the 8GB/128GB version goes for $260.

Pre-order is open and sales begins March 13.
