Alongside the Xperia 10 II, Sony also announced two other devices at its online event – the Xperia 1 II and the Xperia Pro. The devices bring 5G support and upgraded cameras.
Sony Xperia 1 II
Just like the Xperia 10 II, the Xperia 1 II has an OLED screen and a 21:9 CinemaWide ratio. It comes with a 6.5” 4K HDR display, Sony has added a Motion Blur Reduction which reduces frame lag by adjusting individual frames.
At the back is a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP main shooter, 12MP ultrawide sensor and 12MP telephoto lens. The camera brings a ZEISS branding with bigger sensors and faster lenses. There is an 8MP selfie camera which is housed in the top bezel.
The 12 ultrawide lens has a 16mm focal length, f/2.2 aperture and ½.6” sensor with Dual-PD AF. The telephoto sensor has a 70mm focal length, f/2.4 OIS lens and 1/3.4” sensor with PD AF. The main shooter comes with a 1/1.7” Exmor sensor with Dual PD AF and Optical Image Stabilization. Its f1.7 aperture allows better pictures in low-light environments.
Sony Xperia 1 II runs on Android 10 and is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset. It supports 5G network connectivity based on Sub 6 GHz networks. It comes with 8GB RAM and a 256GB internal storage. It is water and dust resistant and it comes with a 4,000mAh battery which supports wireless charge.
It comes with a 3.55 audio jack and its audio is improved with stereo speakers. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the right side of the device. It is easily connected with Sony alpha cameras and can be used to make professional video shoots.
Sony Xperia 1 II will retail for €1,200. It will be available second quarter of this year in Black and Purple colours.
