Housemarque’s Returnal is coming to the PC on February 15th; Sony shared in a PlayStation blog post. Returnal was originally released as a PS5 exclusive but now joins other PlayStation games to be ported to PC ahead of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part I, which also arrives on PC on March 3rd.
The roguelike Returnal will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. On PC, the game will support NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR, which allows players to increase the gaming framerate without affecting the resolution. Sony has added support for NVIDIA NIS to compensate players whose PCs do not have the required hardware to support DLSS or FSR.
Returnal on PC also supports raytracing with shadows and reflections. Returnal is colourful, and thanks to the raytracing, players will enjoy the dark setting contrast and the neon bullets coming out of the variety of weapons in the game. Regarding display, Returnal supports Ultrawide at 21:9 and Super Ultrawide at 32:9.
Players with compatible headphones can enjoy all sounds from the game with 3D audio, two 3D audio solutions, or 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. The game also supports the PS5’s DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features. Returnal on PC is playable as well with a keyboard and mouse.
