Two weeks ago, Sucker Punch showcased 18-minutes of new gameplay footage of Ghost of Tsushima at a dedicated State of Play. This Thursday, another State of Play will be taking place and it is dedicated to Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II.
The post-apocalyptic game comes out June 19 and it promises to be a blockbuster like the award-winning prequel released in 2013. Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog’s Vice President will give a special preview of the upcoming game detailing the gameplay experience and story. Sony released a story trailer three weeks ago which gives a hint of the troubling journey coming ahead for Ellie; Sony promises to show a never-seen-before 8 minutes gameplay sequence this Wednesday.
The State of Play will be broadcasted live on YouTube and Twitch 1:00PM Pacific Time / 4:00PM Eastern Time.
The Last of Us Part 2 has been trailed by many controversies with the last one been a major plot leak online. Naughty Dog and PlayStation have been taking measures to block spoilers from angry fans and leakers. The company has been taking advantage of the new Twitter feature which limits replies from certain accounts.
Alongside Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2 is a first-party title from Sony which promises to give the PlayStation 4 a deserved swansong.
