Chipset makers MediaTek has just unveiled a new Helio G70 SoC which is targeted at entry-level gaming smartphones. The chipset comes with dual Cortex-A75 cores at a 2.0GHz speed and six A55 cores. It is built on the same 12nm process as the G90 SoC but has a slightly lower computational structure.
In terms of its GPU, it comes with an ARM Mali-G52 class graphics processor which operates up to an 820MHz speed. This is controlled by MediaTek’s Corepilot to produce an efficient gaming performance. The chipset also comes with an integrated Voice on Wakeup feature which enables voice assistant with minimal power usage.
In terms of camera, the Helio G70 chipset supports a single(48MP) or dual camera (16MP x 2) setup with a wide-angle, telescopic, macro or other lens giving brands a variety of options in that region. There is a secure ISP for biometric feature such as facial recognition which is very fast and accurate.
