Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a collection of remasters of GTA II, Vice City and San Andreas will be launching November 11 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
The remastered classics have been “enhanced for a new generation” according to Rockstar Games. Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will bring “new GTAV-inspired modern controls, plus across-the-board visual enhancements such as resolution upgrades and improved visual fidelity across the world, and much more to faithfully tune and improve upon all three games, while also maintaining their distinct original aesthetic.”
The remastered classics will be available digitally for $59.99 (£54.99) when it launches on November 11th and it will also be getting a physical release on December 7th. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have immediate access to Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on the launch day but it won’t be available on PlayStation now until December 7th.
The three games – GTA II, Vice City and San Andreas have all been remastered by Grove Street Games using Unreal Engine. Rockstar Games says the games are now “more vibrant and more immersive than ever.” More detailed information about the remaster can be found on a page created by Rockstar for the trilogy.
