EA has officially revealed the next iteration of its FIFA game, FIFA 22 launches October 1st with a new gameplay technology called “HyperMotion” The football game will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC (via Origin and Steam) and Stadia.
After EA unveiled PSG star Kylian Mbappe as the cover star for the second consecutive year, the gameplay trailer was revealed with the new HyperMotion technology which EA says “brings every match in every mode even closer to the real thing” on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia.
EA is hinting at a revamp of the FIFA game with a “brand new goalkeeper system brings a new level of intelligence to the last line of defence, new hyper-realistic football physics, explosive sprint when dribbling or defending and new attacking tactics.” There are changes in career mode, Volta Football, Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs.
There is no surprise FIFA 22 is a cross-gen game since the last-gen consoles still have a large user base while the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S are still very hard to get. It may take a couple of years before EA starts focusing alone on the current-gen.
The game is available for pre-order now on all platforms. The Standard Edition on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S costs $70.
