In the new NBA season, a selection of Los Angeles Lakers games will be streamed in immersive mode on the Apple Vision Pro.
As reported by TechRadar: “Special cameras that support the format will be set courtside and under each basket to give you perspectives that amp up the immersion. The Lakers’ games will be shot using a special version of Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine Immersive Live camera.”
This will be the first of its kind for the Apple Vision Pro. “Vision Pro users will be able to feel the intensity of each game as if they were courtside, with perspectives that are impossible to capture in traditional broadcasts,” Apple says.
The Immersive matches will be made available via the NBA app and an upcoming Charter Communications Spectrum SportsNet app. On the NBA app, the immersive Vision Pro content will reportedly be available to users in the US, as well as in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UAE.
Apple says the full schedule of games that will feature the immersive format will be published later this fall and that you need to have the visionOS 26 on your Vision Pro to watch them.
