Apple has announced newer models of its 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros. The new models come with a faster processor and a dual-camera system with a new sensor Apple is calling LiDAR for depth sensing and augmented reality. The devices are available for pre-order with the 11-inch starting at $799 for the WiFi model and $949 for the LTE model with 128GB storage. Pricing for the 12.9-inch size begins at $999 for the WiFi model and $1149 for the LTE model with $128GB storage.
Apple is also announcing a “Magic Keyboard” which makes the iPad function like a laptop. The keyboard has a floating design and its easily adjustable. Its keyboard is backlit and it brings trackpad to the iPad Pro. It has a USB-C port which it can be charged through but the keyboard does not come cheap. It will be available in May at $299 for the 11-inch model and $349 for the 12.9-inch model.

Going to the iPad Pro, it is powered by a new A12Z Bionic chip with eight cores in its GPU and Apple is claiming its “more powerful than most Windows PC laptops.” The updated iPad Pro models do not support 5G network and its battery life is estimated at 10hrs.
In terms of display, both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes feature an edge-to-edge. Liquid Retina display. It has a “Pro Motion” technology which Apple says “adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120 Hz for ultra-smooth scrolling and responsiveness.”
Going to the camera, at the back it looks like a triple camera setup but there are only two lenses. There is a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 10MP ultrawide angle lens. The third sensor is LiDAR and Apple Is calling a breakthrough technology; it simply uses lasers for depth-sensing and augmented reality.
The new iPad Pro models will start shipping March 25th and will be available in silver and grey colours. The second-generation Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard Folio is supported with these models.
