Apple today announced an iPhone 12 mini alongside the main iPhone 12. The “mini” iPhone 12 features a 5.4” display packed inside a small body compared to the 4.7” screen on the iPhone SE 2020.
The iPhone 12 mini features a notch and thin bezels. It comes with Face ID and Apple says it is the lightest 5G phone ever. It has a starting price of $699 and it is available in all colour options as the iPhone 12.
The iPhone 12 mini is powered by Apple’s latest A14 bionic chip and it features support for both the sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G. It has the same ceramic glass coating for improved durability and it is water and dust resistant.
The design and camera specifications are similar with the iPhone 12. There is a 12MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture which is the fastest in any iPhone and also a 12MP ultrawide angle camera. Both the rear and front cameras are now capable of Night Mode.
Pre-order begins November 12 and it will start shipping the following day. There is no power adapter but it will be packaged with the USB-C lightning cable. There is support for MagSafe as well.
