After introducing Wave to make chats and connections easier last week, Clubhouse is adding a host of new features again including the ability to record room conversations. With Replays, creators will be able to save conversations to their profile and make them available to others.
Clubhouse says Replays can be toggled on and off when a room is started, the feature will be rolling out “in the coming weeks” but the company says it will be “testing and continuing to develop” it before it is finally made available in October. Apart from Replays, there is also Clips which lets users create shareable 30-second clips of public rooms. Clips is still in the beta stage and it’s being rolled out to a small group of creators at the moment till it’s eventually available to everyone.
Additionally, Clubhouse is now making it possible to be able to search for rooms with Universal Search. Users will be able to search also for people, clubs and future events, the feature will be available on both Android and iOS. The company says it will stay in the Explore tab for the “first week or two while we get feedback from the community and continually improve search results.” In August Clubhouse rolled out Spatial Audio on iOS but the feature is now finally available to Android users as well.
As the competition increases, it is important for WhatsApp to roll out these new updates. Twitter Spaces and Spotify’s Greenroom allows recordings that give users more flexibility when making audio discussions.
