It has taken a long time and more than 100 million monthly active users, but WhatsApp has finally added a drafts feature.
“Starting a reply to a message and getting distracted… we know what that’s like,” WhatsApp shared in a Threads post. “When you start a message and don’t finish it, you’ll see a draft indicator on the chat so you remember to hit send,” the company added.
The draft feature is just as you would expect. If you typed a chat that you didn’t send, the chat would be accompanied by a green and bolt “Draft” tag in front of it. The draft messages would also appear at the top of the chats list so you can easily locate and attend to them, Engadget reports. The drafts feature gives users time to gather their thoughts and no pressure to finish messages immediately. The feature is available to all users globally via the WhatsApp app.
WhatsApp has been rolling out a plethora of features to the platform lately. That company recently rolled out a custom lists feature that lets filter chats and groups by custom categories of their choice. The company also introduced its built-in address book that makes it easy to add and manage contacts from any device.
