Twitter is Finally Rolling Out the Edit Tweet Feature

twitter fix disappearing tweets

After announcing it was testing an edit button at the beginning of September, Twitter has started rolling out the feature to Twitter Blue subscribers in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Subscribers in the US will have to wait “soon” to get the feature.

Twitter Blue costs $4.99, and members will have 30 minutes to edit a tweet after it has been sent out. The company demonstrated how the edit feature works in a thread with GIFs tweeted by the Twitter Blue account. An edited tweet will have a pencil icon to indicate it has been edited. Tapping on the icon will show the original tweet and the edit history.

There are some limits to the edit button as replies, retweets, threads, and pinned tweets can’t be edited; a support page reveals. The edit button is still being tested in the Labs section of Twitter Blue. Twitter says it is expanding the test to new markets and “can’t wait to hear what you think!’
