We already knew The Witcher was getting a third season after Netflix made the announcement during last year’s Tudum event. The streaming giant has now confirmed the third season of the hit series won’t arrive until the summer of 2023.
At its 2022 Tudum event on Saturday, Netflix made the announcement with a teaser poster, but no footage was shared for the upcoming The Witcher season 3. Fans of the fantasy TV show will have to wait for a while before they can see Geralt of Rivia in action again.
The teaser poster does not reveal much except the wolf, swallow, and obsidian star symbols, symbolic of characters Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefir in the Netflix series.
During its 2022 Tudum event, Netflix also announced The Witcher: Blood Origin will premiere on December 25th. The Witcher: Blood Origin will take place thousands of years before Geralt of Rivia. The show will focus on the origin of the witchers and how the first witcher came into being.
