TECNO launched the Spark 3 series from its Spark smartphone line a couple of weeks ago. Three variants – a 16GB ROM and 1/2GB RAM and a Spark 3 Pro with 32GB internal memory and a 2GB RAM, all budget smartphones.
The Spark 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo while it’s ‘premium’ version the Spark 3 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie. We got a unit to unbox and we shall be doing just to that below.
TECNO Spark 3 Unboxing – The Box
The packaging of the Spark 3 follows previous Spark devices theme with its pink casing and simple design, nothing dramatic. A large picture of the smartphone adorns the front cover of the box showing its notch-display.

Turning to the back, we see all the specifications of the device and the regular “CAUTION DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN” taping it together with the front cover.

TECNO Spark 3 Unboxing – Accessories
The smartphone as expected is in the box with other accessories which will be listed below:
- 1 Protective Pouch
- 1 Power Adapter
- 1 USB Cable
- 1 Earphone pair
- Manual and Warranty Card
An ejector PIN is missing because you have to open the back of the smartphone to insert your Dual Nano SIM cards and the SD card.
TECNO Spark 3 Unboxing – The Smartphone
Bringing out the smartphone from its box, it’s plastered with the regular key specs glossy paper which can be removed easily.

The smartphone itself features a 6.2-inch full view display with thin bezels.

We got the Champagne Gold colour. At the back is its dual rear camera and the LED flashlight; the fingerprint sensor is not far off in the middle from it.

The headphone jack is at the top, charging/USB port beneath while the volume and power buttons are placed by the side.

To insert your SIM and SD card, you have to open the back of the phone. When you open, you see the non-removable 3500mAh battery and the SIM and SD card slots.

TECNO Spark 3 First Impressions
The Spark 3 is pretty light to hold and fits well with the palms. If you plan to use the device for heavy applications then this is not the smartphone for you, you can look at the Camon 11 or 11 Pro, but for a simple user it’s the perfect budget device money can buy.
