Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut launches on the PS5 and PS4 on August 20. Sony has released a new trailer showcasing what to expect for the Iki Island expansion.
On the PlayStation Blog, Senior Writer at Sucker Punch Productions Patrick Downs talks about a mysterious Mongol tribe “led by a revered shaman called Ankhsar Khatun, known to her followers as the Eagle. As both a khatun and a shaman, she is not only a conqueror of nations, but a shepherd of souls. And the danger she presents to Jin and his people is unlike any they have faced.” Protagonist Jin Sakai has to return to Iki Island to contend with these new forces.
Downs explains Iki Island provides “a stark contrast to Tsushima.” “It is a wild, lawless land of raiders and criminals, scarred by memories of war, and fiercely independent; the samurai have not been in control there for decades,” he added.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will contain the original game and the Iki Island expansion. It is available for pre-order for $69.99 USD on PS5 and $59.99 USD on PS4. Those who own the original game on PS4 can get the Director’s Cut upgrade for $19.99 or $29.99 on the PS5.
