Sony Says PlayStation Games Will Wait ‘At Least a Year’ Before PC Release

Some of the best PlayStation games, such as Horizon Forbidden West, Days Gone, and God of War, have already been released for PC, and Sony is working on bringing half of its annual releases to PC and mobile by 2025. In a report by VGC, Sony has now said it will take “at least a year” before future PlayStation games coming to PC.

I think going forward we’ll see at least a year between releases on PlayStation and on the PC platform, possibly with the exception of live service games,” Head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst said in a recent interview with Julien Chieze.

Live service games are a little bit different in nature because you want to have a strong community, strong engagement right away, right when you go live, so we might in the case of our live service offerings go day and date with PC and the PlayStation platform,” Hulst continued.

Spider-Man Remastered was recently released for PC. It is expected to be followed by Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy A Big Adventure and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection later this year. There are indications that Housemarque’s PS5 exclusive Returnal might also be coming to PC.
