If having 10 pictures or videos in an Instagram photo dump was not enough for you, there is good news because the company has now increased the number to 20. The company announced on Thursday, adding “that means more space to share your summer highlights.”

Instagram first rolled out the carousel feature in 2017 which allows users to share up to 10 photos and videos in one post. The feature became popular and is associated with a term most users call photo dump. Over the years, the carousel post has been expanded with more features. Users can now delete a picture or video they do not like from a carousel after it has been posted, they can add music and also make collaborative posts with up to three friends in a carousel.

It is no surprise that Instagram is expanding support for carousels, including up to 20 pictures or videos. TikTok currently supports 35 images in one post and many users are taking advantage of it for their stories instead of short-form videos.

The new carousel update is already rolling out globally to users on Instagram.
