Konami has employed the use of the phrase ‘Magic Moments’ to describe the PES 2019’s gameplay. Conspicuous new additions include the no-look pass which players like Firmino are famed for doing, players’ individuality have been enhanced and the real-life movements and playing style of players are replicated.  All these features are to ensure the PES 2019 has a more realistic feeling. Phillipe Coutinho has been announced as the cover star of the PES 19.

If you’re fortunate enough to own a PS4 Pro, Xbox One S/X or compatible PC, PES 2019 benefits from 4K HDR support. Our experiences with the game’s demo have shown this to be a significant upgrade, with everything from stadiums to grass textures proving visually stunning. Crowds are also improved and you can select snowy weather conditions for the first time in years.

The most obvious visual improvement in PES 2019 is the game’s lighting, which changes based on the time of day. It’s the result of a global illumination system called Enlighten, which, according to an official press release unveiled back in May, “simulates indirect light reflected by objects in real time.” It’s also possible for the weather to change mid-game, dependent on the pre-game settings you choose.

New licenses

It is unfortunate that the UEFA Champions League license was not renewed for the first time in ten years. To compensate for this, Konami has added new leagues from countries like Russia, Portugal, Turkey, Argentina and Scotland.

MyClub changes

PES MyClub which is equivalent to FIFA’s Ultimate team has been upgraded in PES 2019. The most conspicuous upgrade is the adoption of a card system for players. Ratings can be increased temporarily based on a player’s performance in real life. Also, more legends have been introduced to the available ones like Maradona and Cruyff.

PES 2019 – David Beckham Edition

Konami has created a special David Beckham edition for PES 2019 fans. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player signed a mouth-watering deal with PES in August 2017.  PS4 fans that purchase this edition get a SteelBook version with Beckham as the cover star.

The demo mode features 12 playable teams which include Barcelona, Liverpool, newly-crowned world champions, France etc. The standard exhibition mode is available as well as an online quick-play mode. With this feature, a player can battle opponents from all over the world to determine if PES 2019 is worth buying.
