Netflix is making it easier for its users to find new shows/movies to watch. The streaming giant on Monday launched “New & Popular” tab on TV devices, a feature it had been testing since April. The move is designed to make it easier to navigate on Netflix and discover new stuffs easily.
The New & Popular tab brings in one place what customers have been used to for a long time. When you open the tab on your TV, it opens to the sections – Coming this Week, New on Netflix, Top 10 (according to your country) and Worth the Wait. In Worth the Wait, users will get to see movies and shows coming to Netflix within the next 15-365 days and can set reminders on the ones they are looking forward to seeing. Worth the Wait row is only available on TV devices for now but Netflix plans to test on the web before the year ends.
Netflix reported a total of 193 million paid subscribers globally at the end of June 2020, after it had gained a net addition of 26 million paid users in the first half of the year. Its Q3 results are expected to be reported on October 20.

Netflix lost subscribers in the US for the first time last year after it increased the subscription fee for its Standard plan from $10.99 to $12.99. The Worth the Wait section is certainly designed to gain more user retention and give customers something to look forward to.
