Till today, The Last of Us remains one of the best games ever on Sony’s PlayStation. Originally released on PS3, the game enjoyed so much success it was Remastered for the PS4. Developed by Naughty Dog as well as other great games like the Uncharted series and Crash Bandicoot, fans have been dying to know when the Last of Us II will be released after its first trailer was released back at PSX 2016.
It’s been two years since The Last of Us II was announced and to commemorate this, Naughty Dog published an emotional reaction video with clips from a lot of people when the first trailer was announced.
Sony has been relatively quiet as to when part II will be released although two other trailers have been revealed since then. The latest was revealed at the E3 2018 suggesting Ellie may be in a same-sex relationship. Sony’s PSX event has long been cancelled and the E3 2019 won’t be happening.
Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann may have given a little hint the announcement is near with this tweet below.
Being there and feeling the crowd’s reaction is one of the highlights of my career. Can’t wait to see y’all’s reaction to the full game. ❤️ https://t.co/nGJuhX2IVV

Anyways, this is all we know so far. It makes sense for The Last of Us II to be released next summer at a time which will be the 6th Anniversary celebration of the initial game.
