September 26 will forever be remembered as the day the world was almost wiped out, the day the cordyceps fungus infection hit and began to wipe out civilisation. Since 2013, Naughty Dog commemorates the day as the Outbreak Day. Thankfully, the infection only happened in PlayStation Hit game, The Last of Us, and we do not have to contend with it in the real world.
As part of the commemoration, Sony is treating gamers to massive discounts on PlayStation store with the game going for half its original price. The massive sales also contain themes, avatars, exclusive contents as Naughty Dog celebrates the 5th anniversary of Outbreak Day.

The Last of Us, originally released on PS3 and now Remastered for the PlayStation 4 features dynamic 4K gaming experience with HDR on the PS4. Upon the outbreak of the deadly cordyceps fungus infection, Joel the game’s main protagonist, encounters a brave teenage girl, Ellie, their destinies are tied together if they are to make it alive of the United States. Plans are in place already to release the sequel for the game, The Last of Us Part II, with the trailer already unveiled by Sony back in June at the E3 2018.
