The Infinix Note 5 and Tecno Camon X were both released in 2018. Both phones are the flagship products of their company. This article seeks to make a comparison of both phones.
The Design – Infinix Note 5 vs TECNO Camon X
The Infinix Note 5 is characterized by a front glass coupled with a polycarbonate plastic body. The body is a shiny one so it illuminates the light. However, the Camon X comes with a non-shiny polycarbonate plastic body. That’s pretty ordinary because it looks less attractive than the former.
Both phones have a fingerprinted sensor installed at the back of the phone. Also, they have their brand name embedded just below the fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, both phones come with Facial ID technology which can be used to unlock the phones.
In terms of weight, the Infinix Note 5 weighs 173 grams while the Tecno Camon X weighs 150 grams. In terms of thickness, the Infinix Note 5 measures 8.4 mm while the Tecno Camon X is 7.8mm thick.
In terms of colour, the Tecno Camon X comes with various colour variants such as City Blue, Champagne Gold and Midnight Black while the Infini X Note 5 is made in Blue, Black and Grey colours.

The Display – Infinix Note 5 vs TECNO Camon X
Both phones are characterized by a 6.0-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel and their aspect ratio is 18:9. However, there is a massive difference in their screen resolution. The Infinix Note 5 sports a 1080 x 2160 pixels and 402 pixels per density while the Tecno Camon X’s display is characterized by a 720 x 1440 pixels resolution and 275 pixels per inch density. It is safe to declare the Infinix Note 5 the clear winner in this category.
The Camera – Infinix Note 5 vs TECNO Camon X
It is widely known that the Camon series are designed most especially to capture best quality pictures. A number of their advertisements centres on their camera quality so it is widely expected that the Camon X trumps the Infinix note 5 here. The Infinix Note 5 is characterized by a 16MP front-facing camera and a 12MP back camera. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon X is characterized by a 16MP back camera and a 20MP front-facing camera. The Camon X certainly didn’t disappoint in this category. The clear winner indeed.
Hardware and Software
Both phones are powered by the MediaTek Helio P23 chipset and they have 3GB RAM. Also, they are sported by an octa-core processor with a speed of 2.0GHz and Mali-G71 MP2 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). However, they have different internal storage. The Tecno Camon X is characterized by a rather unimpressive 16GB internal storage while the Infinix Note 5 has a 32GB internal storage.
Something noteworthy is the fact that Infinix deviated from the norm. The Note 5 is devoid of the XOS associated with Infinix phones. Rather, it is powered by the Android 8.1 Oreo. On the other hand, Tecno Camon X is powered by the HiOS interface and is overlaid on Android 8.1 Oreo. There’s a winner in this category too.
The Battery – Infinix Note 5 vs TECNO Camon X
Both phones are characterized by a fast battery charging support. However, the Infinix Note 5 is characterized by a non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery (86 hours of no or minimal use). On the other hand, the Tecno Camon X features a non-removable Li-ion 3750 mAh battery (72 hours of no or minimal use). There is a clear winner in this category too.
The Price – Infinix Note 5 vs TECNO Camon X
The Infinix is sold for about N66,000 while the Tecno Camon X is sold for about N60,00. The price difference isn’t much. Therefore, it is recommendable to opt for the Infinix Note 5n because of its superior qualities in terms of battery capacity and internal storage not forgetting the distinct Android experience.
