Sony’s highly anticipated God of War Ragnarök is on course to be released this November, Bloomberg reports. The game was revealed officially with a trailer during PlayStation’s showcase in September 2021 but not much has been revealed since then. Ragnarök is the sequel to 2018’s hugely successful God of War which has sold almost 20 million copies.

A lack of update from Sony at the recent Summer Games Fest about God of War Ragnarök and a recent report from gaming website GameReactor has led to speculations the game won’t be ready until 2022. Ragnarök was announced in 2020 and was originally set to be released in 2021 before it was delayed till 2022. The game was supposed to be released in September 2022 but has now been moved further to November, according to Bloomberg sources.

Ragnarök will be released exclusively on the PS5 and PS4. Despite Sony’s struggles to make available more PS5 consoles to its customers, Ragnarök is expected to have a high install base thanks to the PS4 which has now shipped more than 117 million units.

Bloomberg sources say a release date is expected to be announced by Sony later this month. If reports are true and Ragnarök is on course to be released this November, Sony is expected to announce a dedicated State of Play soon.
