OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Enterprise specially designed for businesses and corporate organisations. In a blog post on Monday, the company announced that ChatGPT Enterprise offers “enterprise-grade security and privacy, unlimited higher-speed GPT-4 access, longer context windows for processing longer inputs, advanced data analysis capabilities, customization options, and much more.”
One major concern for businesses and privacy organisations concerning ChatGPT has been privacy. With the Enterprise version of ChatGPT, the company says it does not train the system using business conversations and that it will not learn from the usage of the AI tool.
Apart from providing privacy and unlimited higher-speed access to the advanced GPT-4 for corporate organisations, ChatGPT Enterprise offers domain verification, SSO, usage insights and large-scale deployment for bigger teams. It provides customization options so companies can connect applications they already own, more powerful tools for advanced data analysis and specifically tailored solutions to solving problems. The company says ChatGPT Enterprise has data encryption at rest (AES 256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+) in addition to being SOC 2 compliant.
OpenAI’s COO Brad Lightcap told CNBC that ChatGPT Enterprise was in development for “under a year” with help from “more than 20 companies of varying sizes and industries.”
No pricing has been announced, and interested businesses and organisations would have to contact OpenAI to get a quote. Lightcap told CNBC that pricing would not be publicly announced and that it “it will depend, for us, on every company’s use cases and size.”
ChatGPT Enterprise provides a different option to the free model that uses GPT 3.5 language, and the $20-a-month ChatGPT Plus that uses the advanced GPT-4 language model.
