Ubisoft’s Vikings-themed game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is finally launching November 10th alongside Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and the Series S. The announcement follows Microsoft’s announcement that its next-gen consoles will launch on the same date for $499 and $299.
In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, player’s take on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider leading his people out of Norway to settle in England. Eivor can be played as either a male or female character. The game will also be available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. Sony has yet to announce the actual release date or price for its next-gen console.
Things have not been rosy at Ubisoft with reports of sexual harassment and toxic work culture allegations. In July, the company fired former creative director of the upcoming Viking’s game after conducting an investigation concerning a misconduct accusation levelled against him.
