YouTube has launched a new troubleshooting tool to help creators in recovering their hacked accounts. The new tool is an AI support assistant that will guide impacted creators through a series of questions and steps to recover their accounts after it has been hacked. The new tool is open to eligible creators who believe their account has been hacked via the YouTube Help Centre.
In a support page, Google says the tool is only available in English for now and certain features of the tool are only available for some creators. The company says it is working to make the troubleshooting tool and its features available to all users in the “future.”

Recovering a hacked account on YouTube can be a long painful process for creators because it is hard to get in touch with a YouTube representative. According to The Verge, only the biggest creators on YouTube have direct access to representatives while smaller creators are left to scrap through support pages for automatic responses from YouTube support.
While the new AI-powered troubleshooting tool may not provide the best on-demand support for hacked creators in the YouTube Partner Program, it will still go a long way in helping hacked smaller creators recover their accounts.
