In a clinic, fertility experts require men to masturbate in the facility in order to produce semen sample for fertility test. This is awkward for most men; they find masturbating in a clinic uncomfortable. However with Yo, a new at-home male fertility-test kit which works in conjunction with smartphones, this awkwardness is stopping.
From home, men will now be able to test their fertility themselves, see live video of their sperms, and even count the number of their swimmers.
This is how Yo works: it turns the camera of a user’s smartphone, when connected to it, into a microscope that can zoom into semen, to the extent of seeing its micro-components (the sperms and the seminal fluid).

How to use Yo – Fertility Test
In using Yo, the man will ejaculate from the comfort of his bedroom, collect sample of his semen with the small plastic pipette that comes with the package. Then drop the semen into a small collection cup which also comes with the package. The man will then add a liquefying powder to the semen in the collection cup. The powder liquefies the semen and changes it into pink.
A drop of the pink solution is then dropped on a slide which is slipped into the Yo main device. This device, when attached to a smartphone camera, then record and analysis the semen.
Yo comes with an iOS and an Android application which enables smartphones to do the recording and analysis.
This fertility testing kit has been approved by FDA (a government agency in charge of approving food and drugs in the U.S.). Yo is tipped to make fertility test for men faster and less awkward, and it will start shipping in February for $49.95.
