PS5 exclusive, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart comes out June 11, and Sony is ramping up the hype ahead of its launch. Developed by Insomniac Games, the creator of the PS5 launch title, Spider-man Miles Morales, Sony has announced a dedicated State of Play for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for Thursday, April 29 and it is meant to showcase more than 15 minutes of new gameplay.
In a new gameplay trailer released today, Insomniac Games revealed a new protagonist for the game called Rivet. On the PlayStation blog, Creative Director at Insomniac Games Marcus Smith wrote a description about the protagonist: Rivet is a Lombax resistance fighter from another dimension, where organic life is hunted by the evil Emperor Nefarious.
The gameplay trailer also showcased new locations like Nefarious City, alternate-dimension twists on Sargasso and Torren IV, new weapons and gameplay mechanics.
The State of Play on Thursday, April 29 at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern Time will be live-streamed on the official PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels.
